The Arc'teryx Proton LT Hoody jacket uses Octa® Loft knit insulation, which not only provides warmth but is also compression-resistant. This allows the jacket to maintain its loft and insulating properties even after repeated use and packing. This insulation also enables airflow, regulating the wearer’s thermal comfort and ensuring optimal conditions in various activity scenarios.

Fortius™ Air 20 fabric, used in the Proton LT Hoody, is abrasion-resistant, enhancing the jacket’s durability while also being stretchy to provide freedom of movement. This material is also wind-resistant, protecting the wearer from chilly gusts. However, the key feature of this fabric is its temperature regulation ability, which helps maintain a comfortable microclimate inside the jacket regardless of external conditions.  

The jacket is equipped with innovative zippers, including the No Slip Zip™ closure system that prevents the jacket from unintentionally unzipping. This unique zipper is designed to keep the slider in place even during intense movement. Additionally, custom zipper pulls made from TPU are easy to operate and allow use even with gloves on, which is important on colder days or during climbing.
