To safely spend time on the slopes, an essential piece of equipment for every skier is a proper helmet. Women's ski helmet from the Polish manufacturer 4F KSD002 is a model designed to provide maximum safety and minimize the risk of injury during a fall.

Women's helmet KSD002 is a model made with an In-Mold construction, characterized by the fact that both layers of the helmet—the outer PC shell and the inner EPS foam—are tightly bonded together. This construction ensures optimal lightness while maintaining durability and resistance to damage and scratches. The most important factor ensuring safety while wearing the helmet is its proper and snug fit. The circumference adjustment is made easy and convenient with a dial located at the back of the helmet.

Advantages

PC shell

The shell is made of durable polycarbonate. It is a durable and abrasion- and impact-resistant material, characterised by its low weight. It is able to dissipate more impact force than thermoplastic and is relatively cheap to produce, resulting in a more attractive helmet price.

Active ventilation

The active ventilation system allows the airflow to be individually controlled to suit current needs. Thanks to this solution, excess warm air and moisture will be vented to the outside, without being exposed to excessive cooling.

EN 1077 certification

This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.

Buckle fastening

The chin strap uses a classic buckle fastening. It is easy to use, but fastening and unfastening it can be problematic with winter gloves. It will work well with helmets designed for slightly older children.

Soft ear muffs

Soft ear muffs are a different helmet design with ear muffs that are not overlapped by the helmet shell. They are extremely soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with sound reception. They do not, however, provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident.

EPS inner shell

Under the outer, impact-resistant shell, there is an inner layer made of polystyrene. It has a varying density and its main function is to absorb the force of impact during an accident. It provides a good level of safety.

In-mould construction

This construction mainly combines different types of in mould foam of different hardnesses. These layers are closely linked to the outer layer of material, which is much harder. This construction makes the helmet extremely lightweight.

In-mold is a manufacturing method in which the outer shell of the helmet is permanently bonded to a layer of inner protective foam during moulding. This makes the helmet lighter, more durable and better absorbs impacts. The process also provides an aesthetically pleasing finish and increased structural durability.
