Secure-Connect is a unique technology created by Oakley that sets a new standard for connecting optics with helmets. Through years of research and development, Oakley has developed a system eliminating the gap between the visor and the helmet, offering users smoothness and consistency in use. The advanced solution combining magnetism and mechanics allows for quick and convenient attachment of the visor to the helmet. This ensures the visor remains stable during riding and can be quickly stowed away if needed.

The helmet is not just a shield — it is an advanced design meant to provide maximum protection. The combination of DURAMATTER with lightweight polycarbonate creates a helmet that is both durable and lightweight, tailored for extreme conditions. The safety system MIPS®, applied in this model, is an integrated system focused on protection against rotational forces during angled impacts. MIPS is the result of years of research and has proven its effectiveness in practical tests.

Protection and fit go hand in hand. Thanks to Skull Matrix technology, the helmet perfectly adapts to the shape of the head while offering unparalleled support in case of a fall. The patented retention system ensures the helmet stays in place regardless of riding intensity.

Advantages

PC shell

The shell is made of durable polycarbonate. It is a durable and abrasion- and impact-resistant material, characterised by its low weight. It is able to dissipate more impact force than thermoplastic and is relatively cheap to produce, resulting in a more attractive helmet price.

Passive ventilation

Permanently integrated into the helmet, the ventilation channels let fresh air in through the openings at the front and let excess heat and moisture out through the rear openings. Thanks to this solution, the goggles do not evaporate and the head is kept comfortable during activity.

Fidlock fastener

The chin strap uses a Fidlock type fastener. This is a simple fastener that operates using magnets. Its operation is quick and easy, even with thick ski gloves. It is both strong and durable.

Hybrid design

The hybrid construction combines the advantages of in mould construction and hardshell construction. Part of the helmet has a hard shell and the rest is covered with lighter foam, making the helmet weigh less.

EN 1077 certification

This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.

Size adjustment using the BOA® system

This is an advanced helmet adjustment system using thin steel cables that allow the helmet to be adjusted even more precisely to the head. This system provides a quick vertical adjustment, even with one hand. It also prevents the material from rolling off during adjustment.

Soft ear muffs

Soft ear muffs are a different helmet design with ear muffs that are not overlapped by the helmet shell. They are extremely soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with sound reception. They do not, however, provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident.

EPS inner shell

Under the outer, impact-resistant shell, there is an inner layer made of polystyrene. It has a varying density and its main function is to absorb the force of impact during an accident. It provides a good level of safety.

ASTM F2040 certification

This is an American safety standard, more stringent than the European CE 1077 ECC standard. The test involves dropping the helmet on three types of impact anvils at different speeds. However, point tests and chin strap tests are omitted. A helmet with this certification ensures safety during a crash.
