The Salewa Alpine-Tec ice axe is an excellent tool for climbing enthusiasts who value comfort and reliability. Thanks to its ergonomically shaped head, it is extremely comfortable to hold during difficult ascents and descents. Its slightly curved upper shaft ensures clearance and good snow penetration on steeper terrain, making it easier to overcome steep mountain gullies and glaciers.

The Alpine-Tec model features good stability thanks to the concentration of weight in the precisely cast steel head. The minimalist, ergonomic wrist rest is adjustable without tools, allowing for quick and easy customization to individual needs. The ice axe is compatible with the self-locking wrist rest and SALEWA wrist loop, which increases its functionality.

Salewa Alpine-Tec has a durable, sharp, and replaceable carbide tip at the bottom, providing better grip when moving on hard snow or ice. Holes for clipping a carabiner on the head and bottom of the shaft allow for secure attachment. The version with a sharpened pick enables effective step cutting and chopping of ledges, and the shape of the hammer nut facilitates anchor placement.
