A trekking shoe should be characterized by durability, good cushioning, and foot support to ensure that walking on demanding terrain is safe and comfortable. The Salewa Wildfire Edge GTX shoes are a technologically advanced model for demanding men who need versatility and good protection against adverse weather conditions. 

This shoe model is made of microfiber combined with 1.6 mm suede leather, creating a very comfortable and durable combination. Protection against rain and groundwater is also considered here, provided by the lightweight GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane. It reduces the risk of getting wet while ensuring proper breathability. The foot will stay dry even during very demanding walks on warm days.  

The upper is additionally covered with Exa Shell mesh, which increases the durability of the construction and prevents leather abrasion. This reinforcement works with the SALEWA 3F system, resulting in optimal foot wrapping, flexibility, support, and increased torsional strength.

The applied Salewa Switchfit system allows you to quickly transform the Wildfire Edge GTX shoes into a climbing model. Simply remove the laces from the back and pull upwards. This pulls the foot in the toe box, and the toes are squeezed together, as in climbing footwear. After finishing the ascent, just loosen the laces, widening the toe box, which will provide comfort during further hiking.

The use of the Pomoca Speed MTN sole allowed for better grip in wet and dry weather conditions, and the aggressive studs help move on muddy and soft surfaces. The S-Path zone promotes a more natural and smoother foot roll during dynamic movement at a fast pace.  

All of this together makes this model extremely versatile and agile, allowing for a quick transition from hiking mode to climbing mode.
