The boots have travelled 22km with me in the Tatra Mountains. I rate them 6 on a scale of 1-6 . I recommend them and I am very satisfied. They stuck to dry and wet stones. The foot is stable, you do not feel the unevenness such as roots, rocks, etc . You can confidently go on more difficult terrain . It didn't rain so I can't comment on the gore-tex.
