Under the outer hard yet lightweight shell made of PC is the patented Salomon EPS 4D foam. It is responsible for excellent energy absorption of lateral and vertical impacts. The Pioneer meets European and American safety standards for ski helmets.    

Comfort while skiing is ensured by the helmet’s very good ventilation system AirFlow System. Numerous ventilation channels run through the EPS 4D lining. They enable optimal airflow, remove excess heat, and help maintain the right temperature around the head.      

During intense activity, the scalp may sweat more. Thanks to the use of AdvancedSkin ActiveDry technology, the material dries quickly, which increases comfort. If needed, the helmet’s lining can easily be removed and washed in a washing machine. This helps maintain a high level of hygiene, especially after intense activity on the slopes.
