The 226ERS Ironman Supplement Set was developed based on the Nutrition Strategy prepared by PhD in Medical and Health Sciences, clinical and sports dietitian, Marianna Hall from the Nutrado Dietetics Center. Thanks to an integrated approach to nutrition, this set is the foundation for athletes to achieve their peak physical capabilities during challenges as demanding as Ironman.
Preparation before the start (60-90 minutes before the start):
- Sub9 Race Day: Start taking supplements to build an energy reserve for the upcoming challenges.
Swimming stage (Estimated time: 70 minutes):
TRANSITION 1:
- High Fructose Gel with caffeine, a portion of fluids such as water: Quick replenishment of energy and fluids before starting the bike ride.
Biking stage (Estimated time: 330 minutes):
- Nutrition: Sub9 Race Day, High Fructose gel, High Fructose gel with caffeine, High Energy BCAA gel, High Energy Salty gel, BioEnergy gel 40 g, BioEnergy gel 40 g with 160 mg caffeine, Isotonic gel, GummyBar BCAA.
- Hydration: 226ers Isotonic Drink, 226ers Hydra Zero. It is recommended to evenly distribute fluid intake to ensure steady energy release and optimal hydration.
TRANSITION 2:
- High Fructose Gel with caffeine, a portion of fluids such as water: Replenishment of energy before running.
Running stage (Duration: 200 minutes):
- Nutrition: High Fructose, High Fructose with caffeine, Bio Energy Gel 40, BioEnergy Gel 40 g with 160 mg caffeine, Isotonic Gel.
- Hydration: Fluid intake should be adjusted to individual logistical capabilities, no less than 500 ml per hour, to maintain proper hydration levels.
