IreneuszQuite a disappointment
Visually and functionally, the unit itself promises to be very cool - it allows for convenient programming of on/off times and water temperature control over a wide range from 0 to 41 degrees Celsius. Unfortunately, based on my two-month experience, I have to point out significant drawbacks. Firstly, the unit suffered a sudden failure after less than two months - the pump stopped drawing and pumping water, despite the system being fully unobstructed.
Once it got to around 0 degrees Celsius, I noticed a serious technological problem. Despite the water being in constant motion and under considerable pressure, the unit simply froze and locked up several times after approaching this value. It appears that an ice pivot is forming inside and the system does not have adequate anti-freeze protection. This is an undesirable and dangerous situation for a pump trying to operate without circulation, especially as the equipment is by design also supposed to work in winter in sub-zero temperatures. Unfortunately, the kit lacks any substantial instructions in Polish (also for the mobile app), which would explain these parameters and operating statuses.
The after-sales service deserves a separate mention. It has been more than a week since the problem was reported and we are still fiddling with email exchanges. The inability to have any telephone conversation with anyone competent at Sportano.co.uk drastically prolongs the issue. The device is uselessly sitting at my place waiting for logistical decisions from the shop. In my opinion, a brand promoting premium equipment featuring world-class athletes is not befitting such a slow decision-making process. I give credit where credit is due and look forward to Sportano taking a mature approach, replacing the equipment efficiently and providing full technological documentation. Then I will be happy to verify this rating to a higher one.
