HOKA men's running shoes Gaviota 5 downpour/thunder cloud (1127929-DHN)

Men's running shoes HOKA Gaviota 5 downpour/thunder cloud are an excellent choice for runners seeking stability and comfort during training. Made with a mesh upper, they provide excellent breathability, significantly enhancing user comfort on warm days. With a rubber outsole, these shoes offer great traction on asphalt surfaces, making them an ideal solution for urban running enthusiasts.

H-Frame™ Technology

The men’s running shoes HOKA Gaviota 5 downpour/thunder cloud feature H-Frame™ technology, which provides additional support and stability for the foot while running. This innovative stabilising solution enhances foot adherence, translating into greater safety and confidence in each step, even during intense workouts. As a result, H-Frame™ technology helps maintain proper posture and minimises the risk of injury.

EVA Cushioning

The HOKA Gaviota 5 model incorporates a midsole made from ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), which offers excellent cushioning. This material is characterised by its lightweight and flexibility, ensuring comfort with every step, regardless of the running pace. Additionally, the cushioning properties help absorb shocks, which is crucial for protecting a runner's joints.

Improvements with MetaRocker™

The HOKA Gaviota 5 shoes are equipped with MetaRocker™ technology, which supports the natural movement of the foot, facilitating a smooth transition from heel to toe. This innovation enhances running efficiency, allowing for energy savings and a smoother stride. The MetaRocker™ design contributes to improved running dynamics, which is key to achieving better results during training.

Safety and user comfort

The HOKA Gaviota 5 shoes come with reflective elements, increasing the runner's visibility during low-light training. The standard fit width of the upper ensures optimal fit to the foot, which, combined with the lacing system, provides assurance and comfort while wearing. With these features, these shoes are an ideal choice for runners who value both comfort and safety during their workouts.

Advantages

Breathability
The materials used in this model are highly breathable, meaning that moisture is effectively wicked away, leaving the inside of the running shoe dry and comfortable.
Adhesion
The sole construction used is distinguished by its high traction coefficient, which allows stable stepping when running in adverse weather conditions or over difficult terrain.
Depreciation
The sole material provides excellent cushioning and high energy return to make your run comfortable and safe, no matter what terrain you[re on.
Lightness
The designed construction of the sole and upper and the use of suitable materials ensures lightness without losing the necessary comfort during frequent, intensive use.
Stabilisation
The shoes are designed with a particular focus on safety, so they provide exceptional stability to prevent injuries and trauma and protect the feet during intense training sessions.
Neutral foot
The shoes are designed for people with neutral feet, who do not require additional support or elements to correct rolling, as this type of foot distributes weight evenly.
Matching
Thanks to the shoe[s lacing system, an individual, precise fit is possible, and this ensures maximum comfort, safety and foot stability even during demanding runs.
EVA
Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, which is a foam-like material used in, among other things, sports shoes and many items of clothing and sports equipment. It provides an optimum balance between flexibility and durability.
H-Frame™
It is a special design element that provides the right balance between stability and flexibility. Thanks to this technology, the foot is protected against excessive inward torsion (so-called overpronation), a common cause of injury among runners. The H-Frame™ supports the natural movement of the foot while providing the necessary protection and comfort.
MetaRocker™
The rounded geometry of the sole in the front and rear of the shoe supports the natural rolling of the foot when walking. This solution facilitates a dynamic transition from heel to toe, increasing fluidity and economy of movement.

    Very useful.

I bought the shoes generally for training at home on the treadmill. They work very well for a person over 100 kg. The cushioning is sensational, plus because of the stability, the leg doesn't run off in either direction. I can also confirm that they fit wider feet very well, which has often been a rarity in Hoka products. If you are looking for maximum comfort and stability, these are very good.

How to measure the length of your foot - instructions in 4 steps

    1. Prepare a sheet of paper and set it on a hard, non-slippery surface - it is best to tape it to the floor.

2 Stand barefoot on a piece of paper - distribute your body weight evenly and set your foot straight.

    3. Mark the tip of the big toe and the back of the heel - preferably holding the pencil vertically.

    4. Take off the foot and measure the distance between the marks - this is the length of the foot. Repeat for the other foot and choose a larger measurement, matching it to the size chart.
