The upper of the Xero Shoes Mesa Trail II is made from a combination of polyester and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), ensuring durability and resistance to mechanical damage. These materials are also lightweight, making the weight of one shoe only 221.2 g. Reinforcements at the toes additionally protect the foot from injuries, which is important during activities on uneven terrain.

Technologies and soles

The shoes are equipped with a FeelTrue® outsole, which provides excellent grip and ground feel, crucial for barefoot-type footwear. The TrailFoam™ midsole guarantees proper cushioning, reducing foot fatigue during prolonged use. Both technologies work together to deliver the user optimal barefoot walking sensations while protecting the foot from terrain irregularities.
