Dainese Nucleo Mips ski helmet black matte (204840372)

For skiers seeking the perfect combination of safety, comfort, and style, the Dainese Nucleo ski helmet is an excellent choice. Equipped with a range of advanced features, this helmet not only protects the head from injuries but also provides unparalleled comfort, making it ideal for long days spent on the slopes.

The MIPS system in the Dainese Nucleo MIPS helmet is a unique technology that allows the inner part of the helmet to move independently from the outer shell. In the event of an angled impact, the MIPS system absorbs and disperses rotational energy, which can significantly reduce the risk of serious head injuries caused by twisting. This is especially important in winter sports, where falls and impacts are common, and rotational forces can have serious consequences.

The Protective Ring ARMORING technology in the Dainese Nucleo MIPS helmet is an innovative solution that enhances its durability and protection. The ABS armor surrounds the head, creating an additional protective barrier in the most impact-prone areas. This technology not only increases safety but also distributes the force of impact, reducing the risk of injury.

The Air spoiler in the Dainese Nucleo helmet is a key element that significantly improves the helmet’s aerodynamics. Thanks to it, while skiing, air flows more smoothly over the helmet’s surface, minimizing aerodynamic drag. The Air spoiler also effectively supports the ventilation system, contributing to better heat and moisture dissipation.

The goggle attachment system ensures a secure and stable fastening of ski goggles to the helmet. The thermoformed, removable helmet lining allows for easy maintenance of hygiene and freshness of the helmet.

Advantages

Impact protection
Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that the greatest possible protection is required during skiing. The helmet offers impact protection, which increases the user[s safety on the slopes.
PC shell
The shell is made of durable polycarbonate. It is a durable and abrasion- and impact-resistant material, characterised by its low weight. It is able to dissipate more impact force than thermoplastic and is relatively cheap to produce, resulting in a more attractive helmet price.
Passive ventilation
Permanently integrated into the helmet, the ventilation channels let fresh air in through the openings at the front and let excess heat and moisture out through the rear openings. Thanks to this solution, the goggles do not evaporate and the head is kept comfortable during activity.
EN 1077 certification
This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.
Buckle fastening
The chin strap uses a classic buckle fastening. It is easy to use, but fastening and unfastening it can be problematic with winter gloves. It will work well with helmets designed for slightly older children.
Size adjustment using the BOA® system
This is an advanced helmet adjustment system using thin steel cables that allow the helmet to be adjusted even more precisely to the head. This system provides a quick vertical adjustment, even with one hand. It also prevents the material from rolling off during adjustment.
ABS shell
The shell is made of a synthetic polymer that is highly scratch-resistant and characterised by high hardness and strength. It is also characterised by high resistance to deformation.
Soft ear muffs
Soft ear muffs are a different helmet design with ear muffs that are not overlapped by the helmet shell. They are extremely soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with sound reception. They do not, however, provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident.
EPS inner shell
Under the outer, impact-resistant shell, there is an inner layer made of polystyrene. It has a varying density and its main function is to absorb the force of impact during an accident. It provides a good level of safety.
ASTM F2040 certification
This is an American safety standard, more stringent than the European CE 1077 ECC standard. The test involves dropping the helmet on three types of impact anvils at different speeds. However, point tests and chin strap tests are omitted. A helmet with this certification ensures safety during a crash.

BOA® Fit System
Fitting system, consisting of a strong line, hooks and an adjustable knob. It guarantees a stable and comfortable fit of the product to the shape of the body. The user has the possibility of very precise adjustment.
MIPS®
Multidirectional Impact Protection System - A common impact protection system used in helmets. Its purpose is to protect against the rotational movement that occurs during a severe impact. MIPS absorbs the first shock, minimising the risk of brain damage.
REVERSESAFE
The REVERSESAFE hybrid technology combines a lightweight outer shell with ABS protection significantly increasing the protection of the head with a particular focus on the more delicate areas of the head.
ARMORING
ARMORING technology refers to a specially designed protective ring. Its main purpose is to provide additional protection and reinforcement in critical areas of the product. This ring, made of robust materials, is capable of dissipating the force of impacts, which significantly increases the safety of the wearer.
