    Ski helmet K2 Thrive grey 10E4004.1.2.L/XL (10E4004.1.2)

    The Thrive ski helmet by K2 will perform well in all conditions on the slopes and provide you with the necessary head protection in case of an accident. The materials used and advanced technologies ensure comfort and safety.

    At the back of this durable helmet, a sturdy goggle clip is used to prevent them from slipping off the shell. Passive ventilation ensures a constant airflow at a good level. Soft-type ear pads provide additional warmth and protect the ears. 

    The construction is made using hardshell technology, meaning it is injection molded and highly resistant to external impacts. The K2dialed™ Fit adjustment system allows you to precisely fit the helmet to any head shape. 

    The helmet has the European EN 1077: 2007 CLASS B certification, which confirms its safety and meets the American ASTM F2040 standard.

    Advantages

    Impact protection
    Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that the greatest possible protection is required during skiing. The helmet offers impact protection, which increases the user[s safety on the slopes.
    Hardshell construction
    The construction combines two layers. One In mould layer with a much harder and thicker outer shell layer. These layers are not closely interconnected and the helmet itself is nevertheless characterised by a higher weight thanks to this construction.
    Passive ventilation
    Permanently integrated into the helmet, the ventilation channels let fresh air in through the openings at the front and let excess heat and moisture out through the rear openings. Thanks to this solution, the goggles do not evaporate and the head is kept comfortable during activity.
    Ergonomic design
    The ergonomic shape ensures a high level of comfort when skiing. This helmet design allows undisturbed airflow, which also improves ventilation inside the shell.
    EN 1077 certification
    This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.
    Buckle fastening
    The chin strap uses a classic buckle fastening. It is easy to use, but fastening and unfastening it can be problematic with winter gloves. It will work well with helmets designed for slightly older children.
    Soft ear muffs
    Soft ear muffs are a different helmet design with ear muffs that are not overlapped by the helmet shell. They are extremely soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with sound reception. They do not, however, provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident.
    Adjustment of size by means of a dial
    A classic adjustment system that allows the helmet to be precisely adjusted to the circumference of the head. Using the rotary knob, the helmet can be easily and quickly increased or decreased in several sizes. The correct fit of the helmet increases safety when riding.
    ASTM F2040 certification
    This is an American safety standard, more stringent than the European CE 1077 ECC standard. The test involves dropping the helmet on three types of impact anvils at different speeds. However, point tests and chin strap tests are omitted. A helmet with this certification ensures safety during a crash.
