Sweet Protection Switcher MIPS matte burning orange ski helmet (840053)

The Sweet Protection Switcher MIPS ski helmet, designed for versatile use on various mountain trails, is equipped with an effective ventilation system that allows efficient temperature regulation inside the helmet.

The Sweet Protection Switcher MIPS helmet features an innovative hybrid construction, combining advanced In-Mold and Hard Shell technologies. Its interior is equipped with the innovative Impact Shields padding, which provides additional protection during impacts. Furthermore, this helmet model utilizes the MIPS® system, developed to minimize the risk of brain injuries, thereby increasing user safety.

An additional feature of this helmet is the magnetic chin strap, which facilitates its operation even when wearing gloves. The helmet also has an adjustable fit system using a dial, allowing perfect customization to the user's head. Moreover, the helmet offers an Audio Ready system option (sold separately), enabling music listening while skiing on the slopes.

Impact protection

Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that the greatest possible protection is required during skiing. The helmet offers impact protection, which increases the user[s safety on the slopes.

Active ventilation

The active ventilation system allows the airflow to be individually controlled to suit current needs. Thanks to this solution, excess warm air and moisture will be vented to the outside, without being exposed to excessive cooling.

Ergonomic design

The ergonomic shape ensures a high level of comfort when skiing. This helmet design allows undisturbed airflow, which also improves ventilation inside the shell.

Hybrid design

The hybrid construction combines the advantages of in mould construction and hardshell construction. Part of the helmet has a hard shell and the rest is covered with lighter foam, making the helmet weigh less.

EN 1077 certification

This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.

Buckle fastening

The chin strap uses a classic buckle fastening. It is easy to use, but fastening and unfastening it can be problematic with winter gloves. It will work well with helmets designed for slightly older children.

Soft ear muffs

Soft ear muffs are a different helmet design with ear muffs that are not overlapped by the helmet shell. They are extremely soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with sound reception. They do not, however, provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident.

Adjustment of size by means of a dial

A classic adjustment system that allows the helmet to be precisely adjusted to the circumference of the head. Using the rotary knob, the helmet can be easily and quickly increased or decreased in several sizes. The correct fit of the helmet increases safety when riding.

ASTM F2040 certification

This is an American safety standard, more stringent than the European CE 1077 ECC standard. The test involves dropping the helmet on three types of impact anvils at different speeds. However, point tests and chin strap tests are omitted. A helmet with this certification ensures safety during a crash.
