Sweet Protection Igniter 2Vi MIPS is a hardshell helmet that embodies the essence of modern solutions in head protection. Its unique 2VI construction, based on a two-layer shell with low-friction MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System), is a revolution in energy absorption during impacts. It is this technology that significantly reduces the forces acting on the head at the moment of impact, increasing user safety.

An important aspect of the helmet is its lightweight – weighing only 640 grams, it does not overly burden the skier’s head, providing comfort even during long hours of skiing. Wearing comfort is also enhanced by the possibility of adjusting the helmet to individual needs.

Certification aspects cannot be forgotten – the helmet meets CE EN1077 class B and ASTM2040 standards, which confirms the highest safety standards.

Detachable ear pads and a magnetic buckle are additional conveniences that contribute to increased user comfort. The goggle clip further facilitates equipment organization, and the possibility of attaching Sweet Protection brand speakers (sold separately) allows perfect integration with your favorite music during runs.

Impact protection

Skiing is classified as a high-risk sport, which means that the greatest possible protection is required during skiing. The helmet offers impact protection, which increases the user[s safety on the slopes.

Hardshell construction

The construction combines two layers. One In mould layer with a much harder and thicker outer shell layer. These layers are not closely interconnected and the helmet itself is nevertheless characterised by a higher weight thanks to this construction.

Active ventilation

The active ventilation system allows the airflow to be individually controlled to suit current needs. Thanks to this solution, excess warm air and moisture will be vented to the outside, without being exposed to excessive cooling.

Ergonomic design

The ergonomic shape ensures a high level of comfort when skiing. This helmet design allows undisturbed airflow, which also improves ventilation inside the shell.

EN 1077 certification

This is a European safety certificate which certifies that the helmet has passed crash and point tests. The first part of the test determines the maximum force that can act on the helmet during a collision, checking absorption through deformation, while the second tests the strength of the shell during point impacts, such as with a ski pole.

Soft ear muffs

Soft ear muffs are a different helmet design with ear muffs that are not overlapped by the helmet shell. They are extremely soft and protect the ears from the cold without interfering with sound reception. They do not, however, provide protection against injuries that may occur in the event of an accident.

Adjustment of size by means of a dial

A classic adjustment system that allows the helmet to be precisely adjusted to the circumference of the head. Using the rotary knob, the helmet can be easily and quickly increased or decreased in several sizes. The correct fit of the helmet increases safety when riding.

ASTM F2040 certification

This is an American safety standard, more stringent than the European CE 1077 ECC standard. The test involves dropping the helmet on three types of impact anvils at different speeds. However, point tests and chin strap tests are omitted. A helmet with this certification ensures safety during a crash.
