Product description

Alpine skis Armada ARV 88 Madsteez (RA0000862171)

Armada ARV 88 Madsteez downhill skis are designed for advanced skiers who value precision and dynamics in their ride. The use of a wooden core provides an optimal combination of flexibility and stability, translating into smooth skiing in various conditions. The Sidewall construction reinforces the side edges, improving control and grip during turns.

Durability-enhancing technologies

The ARV 88 model is equipped with Poplar Woodcore technology, which uses a core made of poplar wood. This construction contributes to the lightness of the skis, making manoeuvring easier. Additionally, the use of 2.5 IMPACT EDGE technology strengthens the edges, making them more resistant to mechanical damage. As a result, users can expect a longer lifespan of the skis, even with intensive use.

Construction and performance on the slope

Armada ARV 88 Madsteez downhill skis feature a Tip-Tail Rocker construction, which means that both the front and the back of the skis are raised. This design makes initiating turns easier and improves buoyancy in powder. The sintered base provides excellent glide properties, resulting in higher speeds on the slope. An additional advantage is the W3DGEWALL technology, which supports the transfer of energy from the boot to the ski.

Materials and construction

The Armada ARV 88 skis have a wooden core, which is the basis of their durability and flexibility. The materials used impact the comfort of the ride as well as its smoothness. The Sidewall construction not only strengthens the side edges but also improves stability during dynamic manoeuvres. This combination makes these skis suitable for diverse conditions on the slope.

Technologies

Poplar Woodcore

The poplar wood core gives the snowboards and skis a lower weight while increasing their strength. They are also characterised by extraordinary reactivity and enable a dynamic, energetic ride.

2.5 IMPACT EDGE

The reinforced steel edges, which have undergone a special heat treatment, offer enhanced resistance to impact and mechanical damage. The reinforced construction reduces the risk of cracks and edge chipping when coming into contact with hard obstacles. This design enhances the skis’ durability during intense riding, jumps and performing tricks on rails and boxes.

W3DGEWALL

The three-dimensionally moulded sidewalls feature a specially angled profile at the point where they join the wooden core. This geometry creates a stronger and more uniform bond between the components, increasing the structure’s resistance to damage. The optimal distribution of material and the tapering of the sidewalls at the tips of the skis reduce weight whilst maintaining stability and effective edge grip.
